Time Out says

This Mardi Gras, longtime Creole eatery Harold and Belle’s will celebrate Fat Tuesday in true NOLA fashion, with plenty of gumbo, catfish po’ boys and colorful beads, plus three different live brass music acts inside the iconic South L.A. restaurant, with festivities spilling out into the parking lot and adjacent Peacock Lounge. Arrive early for free entry, or pay $20 after 2pm; for those over 21, the cover charge includes a free beer from local Black-owned brewer Crowns & Hops, or a cocktail made with gluten-free Sunny Vodka. There’s plenty of family-friendly fun to be had as well, including professional face painting and a photo booth.
