Every Sunday, hundreds of stylish Angelenos head over to Fairfax High School for the beloved Melrose Trading Post ($3 entry, free parking). Better known locally as Fairfax Flea Market, it has become an LA staple for hours of people-watching and treasure-hunting among nearly 200 vendors selling used clothes, expertly reworked vintage, handmade jewelry straight out of Etsy, furniture, records and more. Don’t miss the food court selling crêpes and snow cones with live music. Strapped for cash? Check the official website for a $1 off entry coupon.

One of my favorite Sunday activities. MTP is a great place to go if you have a free Sunday and nothing to do. The entry fee is next to nothing and benefits the school. Inside the vendors have everything from vintage clothing to art to handmade furniture to soaps and candles. If you're looking to furnish or redecorate an apartment, this is an excellent place to come. The price and quality of items is vast as well - you'll find postcards and records for less than a dollar, and will also find handcrafted tables and art for hundreds --- great spot to find a gift as well. Additionally, in the back of MTP there are plenty of food vendors with coffees, sandwiches, and other tasty stuff if you get hungry.
