Go on, eat your art out. Echo Park’s trendiest ice cream shop, Fluffy McCloud’s, is serving up a conceptual art exhibition that’s as temporary as it gets. “Of This Marvellous Void,” a collaboration between Culture Slop founder Andrew McClintock and ice cream maker Nick Fisher, invites six contemporary artists to translate their practices into limited-batch, organic ice cream flavors. Inspired by Yves Klein’s legendary 1958 exhibition “The Void,” the show treats each scoop as an artwork that disappears with every bite. Participating artists include Mario Ayala, Matt McCormick, Mia Scarpa and Carley Gmitro, Amelia Lockwood, Mieke Marple and ProblemChild Advisory. The exhibition opens with a Sunday-afternoon reception, but there’s one catch: The show ends when the ice cream is gone. Come hungry, and don’t wait too long to contemplate your cone. An after-party at El Prado kicks off at 7pm.
