Time Out says

Lovers of all things macabre, make your way to the Heritage Square Museum ahead of Halloween for this outdoor-only spin on an annual tradition. The Montecito Heights museum, which has preserved about a half-dozen local late-19th-century structures, has turned its yearly Mourning Tours about death in the Victorian era into a series of stations scattered across the grounds. You’ll learn all about spirit photography, tools to try and contact the deceased, old cure-alls and cemetery symbols, alongside a station to make your own protective sigil and to participate in a Day of the Dead ofrenda. Masks and timed reservations are required.
