Oshogatsu Family Festival

Celebrate the Year of the Snake with this free family day at the Japanese American National Museum, complete with crafts, games and cultural activities and performances. Kids can make decorative wreaths of the animals of the zodiac, fold their own origami snakes and frolic around in a snake jumper, while toddlers can have a more low-key hang in a supervised room just for them. There will also be a rice tasting, a candy sculptor, a reptile petting zoo, face painting and Japanese drum lessons—the day is packed full of fun and not to be missed.
