Echo Park's gem of a sake bar is taking its virtual tasting class on the road, and this time it's making a stop in NYC.
On Sunday, August 23, OTOTO—our Best New Bar of 2019—is digitally headed to Brooklyn Kura where the sake brewery's co-founder and president, Brian Polen, will be talking about the fermented rice drink's process and how they make theirs, plus showing us around and answering any questions you might have.
And because sake is an excellent pairing beverage, OTOTO's kitchen is whipping up a few themed dishes for takeout and snacking on during the course: Expect a few Tokyo-meets-Brooklyn bites such as sake-cured salmon with shiso and miso cream cheese, and a New York-style cheesecake.
Each $45 ticket includes snacks and sake sips, and you'll be emailed the link to Sunday's private Zoom-based class after purchase.
