If you're only showing up for Gregg Araki's gloriously unhinged I Want Your Sex, you're missing the point. OutfestNEXT returns to the LA LGBT Center's Village at Ed Gould Plaza from July 23 to 26 with four days of features, shorts, filmmaker conversations and workshops celebrating the future of queer cinema. Araki's leather-and-latex fantasia starring Olivia Wilde and Cooper Hoffman may be the marquee attraction, but the festival's real joy is stumbling onto the next great LGBTQ+ filmmaker before everyone else starts claiming they discovered them first. Not to mention watching work from some of the biggest names in filmmaking today, including Lilly Wachowski, Kristen Stewart, Rupert Everett, Alan Cumming and Cate Blanchett.
