Summer in Los Angeles is coming to an end, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't get the most out of it. Chefs Bruce Kalman and Hedy Goldsmith are hosting a cooking demo on preserving summer's best ingredients before we usher in fall. Learn how to make pasta sauce with ripened tomatoes and a Meyer lemon confit before you have to wait until next year. Held in the New School of Cooking in Culver City, all the proceeds will be donated to Common Threads, an organization that focuses on improving the quality of life for low-income communities through healthy cooking.
