Despite its name, the charming Shakespeare Bridge in Los Feliz’s Franklin Hills was never graced by the Bard himself. But it does have its own history, and it’s turning 100 years old this weekend. The neighborhood is throwing a birthday celebration, complete with a parade kicking off at Tracy St and St. George St (noon) and a block party at Monon Street (1–4pm). The festivities are free—including free parking at John Marshall High School and even free pizza, soft drinks and dessert. You can also expect live music, a vintage car show and a kids’ craft station. Pets can even get in on the fun and join the costumed dog brigade.
