Spend the longest day of the year atop a hill at the Getty Research Institute’s first Summer Solstice Celebration. Enjoy live jazz on the terrace, tarot readings, craft workshops—from carving potatoes to making cyanotype sun prints with Meztli Projects—and choral performances featuring the Sound as Light Choir, as well as summery treats. At 12:30pm, the solar noon celebrations will commence, where a limited number of people will be able to look through the building’s Richard Meier–designed oculus.
