The Beach Boys 5K & Wellness Day

You’ll be picking up good vibrations at this Beach Boys–themed 5K in Santa Monica, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the band’s seminal Pet Sounds album. Meet at Third Street Promenade for a dedication ceremony and pre-race meditation by original Beach Boy Mike Love, then set off on a 5K through Palisades Park—there’s even a “Pet Sounds” pooch run for your four-legged friends. Once you cross the finish line, enjoy a post-race festival, with wellness activities and a VIP “Don’t Worry Baby” beer garden and live music (though a performance by the band itself isn’t on the schedule). The event is organized in partnership with the Surfrider Foundation to support ocean preservation.
