Wash-ing with Machine Project

Immerse yourself in an experimental sound installation while cooling off from the summer heat with Machine Project’s unique experience of the moment, Wash-ing at Pasadena’s Maranatha High School. The free event, part of MP’s imaginative Field Guide to L.A. Architecture series, encourages attendees to traverse the pool and underwater viewing room as sounds (including echoing notes and feedback) designed for the space are channeled through speakers set above and below the surface. Kids are welcome, but be advised that the pool has no shallow end for little ones. Bring along a bathing suit and goggles for plenty of underwater soundscape exploration.
