The Library Foundation of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Public Library try to reinvigorate the white whale with a contemporary look at the Herman Melville novel. For starters, they've invited comedian and library lover Patton Oswalt to read excerpts from and comment on the American masterpiece at three different LA library branches.
