Time Out says

Want to experience the beauty of nature up close? Head to the Natural History Museum from August 19th through January 6th to witness the wonder and vulnerability of nature in a collection of 99 snapshots from photographers all over the world. Think powerful images like lions attacking a giraffe in South Africa or monarch butterflies covering tress in Mexico. With nearly 50,000 photo submissions, you can bet these 99 photos are worth seeing. In tandem with the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exibition, NHMLA is launching the L.A. Student Nature Photo Contest where students in grades K-12 can submit images to win prizes ranging from a NHMLA family membership and behind-the-scenes dinosaur tours.
