As happy as we are about Montreal's summer season being in full swing, the heat waves are just one of those things we could do without. Sitting at home in front of the AC isn't going to cut, though: We want to get out and enjoy a revived Montreal as much as possible.

Remember how movie theatres in Montreal are great places to cool down when it's 30 degrees and up outside? Just imagine how good it feels to sit down for an immersive show that's all about being underwater.

From June 29 to August 21, the downtown Satosphère dome theatre of the Société des arts technologiques (SAT) is putting on a show called ÉCOSYSTÈME, "an immersive sensory dive into the depths of the sea"; combining its wraparound theatre screen with images and sounds sourced from waves, boats, marine animals, ice cracking, flowing water, and more, it's a soundscape you can literally chill out to.

$20 nabs you a ticket to one of the three 37-minutes screenings that happen every night from Tuesday to Saturday at 5 p.m., 6.30 p.m. and 8 p.m. You can reserve your tickets right here.

The SAT has also relaunched the Foodlab and its terrasse with a whole new menu, and you can turn it into dinner and a movie once you're all done. We can confirm that it's worth a taste from start to finish, from a refreshed and refreshing cocktail menu to new farm to table plates from chef Timothée Vielajus that's made from of seasonal products sometimes grown on the building's own rooftop.
