Pony rides and a petting zoo? Free K-pop performances with a random play dance? A festival that combines science and magic?

As summer arrives in Montreal we’re all about the pools, tree-lined green spaces and sandy beaches in and around the city.

Looking for free family fun? Make sure to add these activities to your list of kid-friendly things to do.

1. Enjoy free K-pop performances downtown

Check out the special performances at the Montreal Eaton Centre in front of the Samsung store on the Sainte-Catherine level this weekend. We’re talking about East2West and 2KSQUAD, including a Random Play Dance where songs are played at random for 30 seconds, and anyone who knows the choreography can join in. And don’t miss the gigantic ASIASIE market with over 30 vendors at Time Out Market Montréal, home to some of the best chefs and restaurants under one roof.

2. Hit this gorgeous park for family day festivities

Kick off summer in Westmount with a fun-filled celebration in the great outdoors. Bring the kids for a day of exciting activities and games, and join in on events like skateboard painting and prize contests. This free event in Westmount Park offers a variety of attractions including face painting, inflatable games, pony rides, a petting zoo, carnival booths, and much more. Quebec's premier science extravaganza returns with 3 days of scientific exploration for the whole family. Eurêka! showcases over 100 free outdoor attractions, including interactive talks and demonstrations, hands-on workshops, experiments, street shows, theatre, and magic. It's an engaging and enlightening event suitable for all ages, blending entertainment with education for the whole family in the heart of Parc Jean Drapeau.
