Certain themes and images—mostly personal, but also related to floral motifs—do indeed repeat in a fuguelike procession within this show. The installation is presided over by two monolithic slabs cast from sand mixed with resin and embedded with items like sneakers and pages from a Mapplethorpe catalog.
