“ACT UP New York: Activism, Arts, and the AIDS Crisis, 1987-1993

In the late '80s and early '90s, several alternative arts organizations (including White Columns) joined ACT UP in expressing their anger over the government’s mismanagement of the AIDS crisis. Combining historical testimony with installation art, this exhibition aims to reinvigorate the art-as-activism movement.
