"Amy Granat: Light 3 Ways"

Granat creates abstract films, videos, sound installations and photogram pieces that revive the techniques of 20th-century experimentalists like Hans Richter, Viking Eggeling and Stan Brakhage, while giving them a 21st-century spin. She's created three new pieces for the New Museum. Two—including a motion-activated installation—are indoors in the galleries, while a third is projected outdoors from sunset to sunrise on the side of a building just north of the NuMu.
