A fascination with science fiction and its blending of past, present and future informs the video installations of this Norwegian artist who lives and works in Copenhagen. Her latest show consists of two pieces referencing the works of sci-fi writers Philip K. Dick and Kawamata Chiaki. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, for instance, provides the point of departure for the titular video, as does the Hollywood version of Dick's story, Blade Runner. In Lislegaard's work, a pair of owls recites fragments of the I Ching and other aphorisms—an image inspired by a brief scene featuring an artificial owl in Ridley Scott's dystopian classic.
