Beatrice Caracciolo, "Cinabrese"

This show of schematically abstract drawings, by the Italian artist based in Paris, takes its title from a Renaissance painting term for reddish skin color. Its subject is a group of studies by the 18th-century Venetian artist Domenico Tiepolo (son of the better-known Giovanni Battista Tiepolo), which feature the commedia dell'arte character Punchinello.
