Time Out says
The P.P.P. in the show title refers to Pier Paolo Pasolini, the Italian writer and filmmaker with whom this Belgian sculptor shares an interest, apparently, in mortified flesh. In De Bruyckere's case, the notion is manifested in three-dimensional works depicting butchered carcasses, human and animal. These are sometimes displayed in elegant vitrines that recall the sort found in museums of medical oddities.
