Bruce Nauman, Animal Pyramid

As part of his career-long dissection of the human condition, Nauman has created several sculptural installations based on taxidermy forms used to stuff large animals like deer. In this piece from 1989, some 16 such objects, varying in size, are stacked into the titular formation, choreographed as if they were part of a performance spectacle.
