One of the pioneers of the Lower East Side–Chinatown gallery scene when it opened back in 2000, Canada has joined the recent exodus of galleries to Tribeca, where it relocated in 2019. The place still keeps it real, though, with a program that still reflects a funky DIY aesthetic, as expressed by artists such as Katherine Bernhardt, Jason Fox and Joanna Malinowska.
