"Carsten Nicolai: Pionier"

The German artist presents two installational pieces: a parachute held aloft by a wind machine, and a large poster-mural-wallpaper image of a black-and-white gradient created by using halftone dots. He describes the former as a manifestation of the balance between stable and unstable states, and the latter as an optical illusion of spatial irritation.
