Charles Long's latest forays into his unique brand of lysergic modernist revival look a bit like a high-cultural update on that old grade-school craft project in which pieces of wire were twisted into, say, petal shapes, before being dipped into a plastic goo that hardened into a film. Here, lengths of winding steel rods serve as supports for nebulous membranes of translucent colors, creating an effect that's as elegant as it is trippy.
