Chris Marker, "Passengers"

The famed French photographer and filmmaker, best known for his haunting cinema classic "La Jetée," takes over both Blum's Chelsea and Soho galleries with this group of more than 200 photos, taken between 2008 and 2010 of passengers on the Paris Metro. These images, which show ordinary people silently carving private space out of a public domain, are Marker's first in color.
