Not so much a face-off as simply a two-person exhibit, this show features contributions by the American Arcangel and the Belgian Bismuth, with the idea of framing them as kindred spirits. And indeed, the two have collaborated on one piece: a video of Guy Debord’s 1973 film, La Société du Spectacle (Society of the Spectacle), with the projector's warning stamp, "Change Bulb," superimposed throughout. Other works include Arcangel's table, topped with examples of popular literature (like Ice-T’s autobiography) and infused with celebrity-branded perfumes; and Bismuth's tape of a Seinfeld episode in which all the dialogue has been drowned out by a successive layering of laugh tracks.
