Among other things, this survey of current art from the Borough of Kings confirms the obvious: that Brooklyn is now the primary home of New York City's artistic community. That much has been plainly evident for more than 20 years, and while this isn't the first time the museum has mounted a Brooklyncentric exhibition, this roundup of 35 artists—whose works are installed not only within the building itself but also at various off-site locations—will certainly help to cement the case that when it comes to contemporary art, Brooklyn is in the house.
