Daniel Subkoff

Subkoff's work focuses on the material nature of the painted surface, and often assumes the form of Conceptual puns—for example, the torched hood of a tow truck, formerly painted in hot-rod flames; or a painting cave (as opposed to a cave painting) made out of a series of stretched canvases, cut out and stacked in front of one another to create a small tunnel.
