The work of this Moscow-born figurative artist—whose M.F.A. from Columbia and appearance in MoMA PS1's "Greater New York" exhibition put her on the art world's fast track—is characterized by sinuous lines, bright color, bold decorative patterns and a surreal, psychosexualized content that seems equal parts Egon Schiele and Henry Darger. Her latest efforts includes pieces done on translucent Mylar in a mix of mediums (acrylic, ink, Conté crayon) applied to both the front and back of the sheet.
