Time Out says

Maljkovic, who is Croatian, has created a series of black-and-white photomontages melding stills from Orson Welles's 1962 film The Trial—which was shot in various spots around Zagreb—with the artist's present-day images of the same locations. The result is an uncanny mash-up of timeless cinematic narrative and post–Cold War reality: a reminder of what the inexorable march of history does—and does not—change.
