Eamon Ore-Giron, "Smuggling the Sun"

The L.A. artist's intimately scaled geometric abstractions are inspired in part by the work of midcentury Latin American modernists such as Carmen Herrera and Maria Freire. The works are limned on raw linen in Flashe, a brand of vinyl paint characterized by its ultramatte finish and depth of color, giving these canvases a lot of wall power for their size.
