Elmgreen & Dragset, Happy Days in the Art World

The Scandinavian duo of Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset, heretofore known for architectural installations that upend preconceptions about the art world's institutional settings, turn to theater in this piece, which they describe as self-portrait inspired, in part, by Samuel Beckett's Happy Days. Actors Joseph Fiennes and Charles Edwards play the artists as they drolly wrestle with the past and future of their artistic collaboration, in an evening-length production directed by Toby Frow.
