Erika Vogt, "The Engraved Plane"

Vogt's installations, comprising video, drawings and interactive sculptural elements, are formalist affairs that conflate the indeterminate effects of layering one image on top of another with the shifting, tactile sensations of handling stuff. Her recipe includes found objects and digital and analog animation, as well as an old mimeograph machine.
