"Footnote 6: As Model"

Footnotes, which appear at the bottom of a page, both deepen and complicate the reading of a text by adding information that is peripheral, both visually and conceptually, to the main written body. All of the artists in this show employ systems for making their work that encourage a deeper investigation of a central structure. Artists such as Liam Gillick, R.H. Quaytman, Nicolás Guagnini and Lygia Clark are represented here.
