Jane Hammond, "Light Now: Dazzle Paintings and Photographs"

Hand-drawn translations of ordinary snapshots (showing, for instance, a woman on a beach, or a parent playfully tossing a child) serve as the starting points for mixed-media paintings, in which the artist also overlays Plexiglas with applications of gold, silver, copper and palladium leaf.
