Magid, whose politically charged performance-installation-video oeuvre has included asking the transit police to search her, continues her look inside "closed systems of power" with her first U.S. museum show. On tap: a video, text and collage piece based on a George W. Bush–era memorandum authorizing the use of enhanced interrogation techniques against an Al Qaeda operative. It serves as a springboard into an investigation of how language is perverted to justify the unjustifiable.
