For his debut with Boone, this Left Coast figure (whose métier is blurring the boundaries separating art, architecture and design) draws on his usual inspiration—midcentury modernism, California edition—to transform the gallery's Chelsea space. Isermann has covered the venue's soaring, wooden trussed skylights with a dropped ceiling made of 500 vacuum-formed styrene panels, giving the place the feel of a mid-’60s airport concourse.
