Jimbo Blachly, "Languidity'

Known primarily for his sculptures and installations (and his Chadwick Family collaboration with Lytle Shaw), Blachly resumed painting about four years ago after a 30-year hiatus. He also kept this effort secret. The small abstractions revealed here—redolent of J.M.W. Turner and Albert Pinkham Ryder—represent the result.
