Jo Baer and John Wesley, "Shared Space"

Time Out says

This show, curated by Baer's son Josh, pairs her work with that of ex-husband John Wesley, produced while the two former West Coast painters lived and worked together in New York City during the 1960s. Though radically different in approach—Baer is famed for elegantly Minimalist painting featuring bands of color edging a white field; Wesley is a Pop Art pioneer—the two shared a number of affinities brought out here, including a propensity for flat applications of paint and a noticeable use of the color black.
