Katrin Sigurdardottir, "Ellefu"

Sigurdardottir, who will represent Iceland in the 2013 Venice Biennale, is something of a poet of spatial mysteries, creating installations that play with the effect of scale, perspective and time on a viewer's perceptions of architectural space. In the three works here, for instance, the artist builds Lilliputian reconstructions of various rooms from her childhood home, using memory and family photos as guides.
