Gallerist Leila Heller set up shop in 1982, opening originally on the Upper East Side before moving to Chelsea. An Iranian expat, Heller is particularly focused on contemporary art from the Middle East, an interest reflected in her roster of artists, many of whom come originally from Iran, Iraq and Turkey.
