Martin Kippenberger, "Eggman II"

Time Out says

The prolific if undisciplined wild man of German art is remembered in a roundup of works made in the three years prior to his premature death, in 1997, an end brought on in part by heavy drinking. The pieces on view—nine paintings, a sculpture and a group of works on paper that include some of the artist's famed drawings done on hotel stationery—all revolve around the idea of the egg as a both a symbol of fecundity and a comical motif.
