“Masterpiece Comics: Looking at Literature through Cartoons”

Cartoonist R. Sikoryak, a New Yorker contributor and author of Masterpiece Comics (Drawn & Quarterly), talks about the history of adapting literature to cartoons. He’ll start with the Classics Illustrated series of the 1940s and end with modern-day Manga Shakespeare (that’s manga versions of Shakespeare’s plays, duh).
