Nate Lowman, "Trash Landing"

Lowman, part of the hot-artists-of-the-moment crew from a few years back that included Dan Colen and Dash Snow, gets the two-gallery-show treatment, with concurrent outings at GBE and Maccarone. The work for Brown sounds like a departure from Lowman's usual claims of being heir to Richard Prince and Cady Noland: It includes two light installations meant to evoke those few moments before dusk and dawn that are both referred to as the magic hour.
