Nina Beier

This Danish artist puts a puckish spin on the toils of consumption and the practice of using found objects in art. Previously she’s planted auto headrests on pedestals and sandwiched wigs between sheets of glass to create “paintings.” Her latest show continues in a similar vein, with prosaic products and luxury items mixed together and treated like olives in a martini by being trapped within clear, hardened resin poured into giant novelty cocktail glasses.
