Phoebe Washburn, "Temperatures in a Lab of Superior Specialness"

This process artist, known for her environments and assemblages made of garbage and recycled materials, gets the two-gallery treatment, with concurrent shows here and at Chelsea's Zach Feuer Gallery. The midtown edition features Washburn's sculptures, made of stuff repurposed from previous installations, including tables, wood, a garden hose, painted rocks and dyed shells.
