Robert Barry, "Recent Mirrorpieces"

Barry was one of the pioneers of classic ’60s Conceptual Art, and the pieces here evince that movement's propensity for text-based work. On view are examples from the past few years of Barry's ongoing series of mirrors and glass panels inscribed with words such as "intrinsic," "careful" and "apart" in block letters—literal thought balloons for regarding one's reflection.
