Seth Price, "Folklore U.S."

Petzel christens its new home on West 18th Street with show a by Seth Price adapted from his project for dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel, Germany. That particular outing involved a runway show in a parking garage, featuring corporate-logo-festooned clothing created in collaboration with fashion designer Tim Hamilton. Some of those garments are on view here, along with cloth sculptures fabricated in the Garment District, paintings on plywood and vacuum-formed plastic reliefs—something of a specialty for Price—created out of ropes.
